Recent medical grants include: Rebekah is a six year old girl from the Southwest/Pacific Region. Rebekah received a $2,500 grant to purchase hearing aids to help her cope with her hearing loss. Rebekah's mom Teresa told the Foundation, "On behalf of my daugher, Rebekah, I would like to say thank you for the $2,500 grant for her hearing aids. This gift means the world to our family. The people around Rebekah on a daily basis (teachers, relatives, etc.) have all noticed a change in her demeaner since having the aids." Rebekah sent us a thank you drawing, featured to the right. Andrew is an eight year old boy from the Mid-Atlantic Region. Andrew received a $3,000 grant for physical and speech therapy to help with his Cerebral Palsy. Andrew's mom Rachel told the Foundation, "What a treat on Halloween evening to receive a special delivery from your organization. We are so happy to find the news that Andrew is the recipient of a grant from you. You have no idea the burden this has taken away from us." Andrew's photo is featured to the right. |
